Hey everyone, today I'm excited to share with you my recipe for making cannabis-infused butter. It's a simple and versatile ingredient that can be used in a variety of recipes to create potent and delicious edibles.
Here are the ingredients you'll need:
1 cup of unsalted butter
1 cup of ground cannabis (decarboxylated)
And here are the steps:
1. Decarboxylate your cannabis by preheating your oven to 240°F (115°C). Spread your ground cannabis onto a baking sheet and bake it for 30-40 minutes until it turns golden brown. This process activates the THC in your cannabis, making it more potent. Check out my simple decarboxylation guide!
2. Melt your butter in a double boiler over low heat.
3. Once your butter is melted, add your decarboxylated cannabis to the pan and stir to combine.
4. Simmer the mixture on low heat for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally. Make sure to keep the heat low to avoid burning the butter or cannabis.
5. After a few hours, remove the pan from the heat and let it cool for 10-15 minutes.
6. Strain the mixture through a cheesecloth or fine mesh strainer to remove the cannabis plant material.
7. Once strained, transfer your infused butter to a container and store it in the refrigerator until solid.
8. Once your butter is solid, remove it from the container and discard any excess liquid.
Your cannabis-infused butter is now ready to use! It can be substituted for regular butter in any recipe you like.
Remember to start with small doses and wait a few hours before consuming more. Edibles can take longer to take effect than smoking or vaping, so be patient and don't overdo it.
And that's it! Making cannabis-infused butter is easy and rewarding, and it opens up a world of possibilities for creating delicious edibles at home. Give it a try and let me know how it goes!
