Cannabis-infused capsules offer a discreet, convenient, and precise way to consume your favorite plant. They're perfect for those who prefer a no-fuss, food-free method of enjoying their THC or CBD. In this blog post, we'll show you how to make cannabis-infused capsules using empty pill capsules and coconut oil. Say goodbye to the munchies and hello to straightforward, portable relief and relaxation.

Ingredients and Equipment:

- Cannabis-infused coconut oil (Check out my recipe for cannabis-infused oils)

***Pro Tip! I do not recommend using MCT oil for this, I recommend using simple coconut oil because coconut oil can solidify in the fridge. I found that oils that are not solid at colder temperatures can sometimes leak out of the capsules, however, if you use coconut oil then you can store these capsules in the fridge or freezer and the oil solidifies which reduces the risk of leaky capsules! More on this in step 5!

- Empty pill capsules (vegetarian or gelatin-based, based on dietary preferences)

- A pipette for filling capsules

- A clean workspace

Instructions:

1. Prepare Your Cannabis-Infused Coconut Oil:

To make your capsules, you'll need cannabis-infused coconut oil. Infuse the oil with decarboxylated cannabis flower, trim, or concentrate using this decarb method. The potency of the oil will depend on the amount and type of cannabis used.

2. Gather Your Supplies:

Set up your workspace with the empty pill capsules and a pipette or syringe. This ensures a neat and efficient process.

3. Fill the Capsules:

Using the pipette or syringe, carefully fill one end of the empty pill capsule with your cannabis-infused coconut oil. Be precise to avoid overfilling, which can cause leakage when sealing the capsules.

4. Seal the Capsules:

Once filled, gently press the other end of the capsule onto the filled end to create a secure seal. Ensure that the capsules are properly closed to prevent any leaks.

5. Store Your Capsules:

The coconut oil may remain in a liquid state at room temperature, which can lead to some leakage. To avoid this, store your cannabis-infused capsules in the refrigerator or freezer. The low temperature will cause the coconut oil to solidify, ensuring that the capsules stay intact until you're ready to use them.

6. Dosage and Consumption:

Remember to label your capsules with their contents and keep them out of reach of children and pets. When it's time to enjoy your cannabis, take one capsule, or as much as your tolerance and experience level dictate. The effects may take longer to kick in compared to other methods, so be patient and wait for the desired outcome.

Why Cannabis-Infused Capsules?

  • Precise Dosage: Capsules allow for precise and consistent dosing, making it easier to control your cannabis experience.
  • Discreet and Convenient: They can be taken discreetly and conveniently, making them perfect for on-the-go use.
  • No Need for Edibles: For those who prefer not to eat edibles, capsules offer an alternative way to consume cannabis without the need for additional food.

 Conclusion

Creating cannabis-infused capsules with coconut oil is a simple and effective way to enjoy the benefits of cannabis without the need for smoking, vaping, or edibles. This method offers control, convenience, and discretion, making it an excellent choice for both medical and recreational users. So, whip up your cannabis-infused capsules, store them in the fridge or freezer, and have your dose of relaxation or relief anytime, anywhere. Enjoy the convenience and consistency of cannabis in a capsule.
